Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Northlake Christian Wolverines (Covington, LA), 12-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Green Wave now sport a 18-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Ascension for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 1. Ponchatoula will face a Spartans squad coming off a 16-10 league win over Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA). The Spartans record now stands at 11-13.

With the loss, Northlake Christian falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Central Private (Baker, LA) to face the Redhawks in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 5. The Redhawks enter the challenge with a record of 7-3.
