April 1, 2024: Harrisburg, AR 72432 Harrisburg Hornets (Harrisburg, AR) backers went home happy Monday as they saw their baseball squad knock off the visiting Manila Lions (Manila, AR), 2-0 in a league battle.
Coming up next, the Hornets play the Marked Tree Indians (Marked Tree, AR) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 5. Harrisburg will attempt to move on its 11-5 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 6-8 record after their 14-4 league win over Crowley's Ridge Academy (Paragould, AR).
The Lions now possess a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Piggott for a 3A Region 3 battle on Tuesday, April 2. Manila will play a Mohawks squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Rivercrest (Wilson, AR). The Mohawks record now stands at 4-7.
