April 1, 2024: Beech Grove, IN 46107 Beech Grove Hornets (Beech Grove, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Pike Red Devils (Indianapolis, IN), 20-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Hornets now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lebanon for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Beech Grove will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 19-0 non-league loss to Western (Russiaville, IN). The Tigers record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Pike falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Red devils host Lawrence Central (Indianapolis, IN) to battle the Bears in a challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
