New Jersey High School Softball - Bloomfield bounces Payne Tech
April 1, 2024: Bloomfield, NJ 07003 Bloomfield Bengals (Bloomfield, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Bengals now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Verona for a SEC - Liberty challenge on Wednesday, April 3. Bloomfield will face a Hillbillies squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Millburn (Millburn, NJ). The Hillbillies record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Payne Tech falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ) to meet the Ridgers in a non-league match on Wednesday, April 3. The Ridgers go into the match with a record of 0-1. Glen Ridge lost 10-4 in their recent non-league match against Columbia (Maplewood, NJ)
