New Jersey High School Softball - Columbia bounces Glen Ridge
April 1, 2024: Glen Ridge, NJ 07028 Columbia Cougars (Maplewood, NJ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Glen Ridge Ridgers (Glen Ridge, NJ), 10-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Caldwell for a SEC - American challenge on Wednesday, April 3. Columbia will face a Chiefs squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ). The Chiefs record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Glen Ridge falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Ridgers travel to Payne Tech (Newark, NJ) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 3. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Payne Tech lost 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ)
