Alabama High School Soccer - Mountain Brook knocks off Shades Valley
April 1, 2025: Birmingham, AL 35223 The Mountain Brook Spartans soccer squad scored 9 points and held the visiting Shades Valley Mounties to 0 in the Spartans non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Spartans now hold a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Huffman for a non-league bout on Thursday, April 3. Mountain Brook will play a Vikings squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Woodlawn (Birmingham, AL). The Vikings record now stands at 11-4.
With the loss, Shades Valley moves to 11-3 on the year. The Mounties host Oxford (Oxford, AL) to play the Yellow Jackets in a 6A Area 11 bout on Thursday, April 3. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 1-11. Oxford lost 5-0 in their recent non-league bout against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, AL)
