The Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds baseball squad (Newport, KY), was overwhelmed 12-5 in Tuesday's non-league contest with the visiting Dixie Heights Colonels (Edgewood, KY)

With the triumph, Dixie Heights moves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Colonels travel to Covington Catholic (Park Hills, KY) to confront the Colonels in a non-league contest on Wednesday, April 2. The Colonels come into the contest with a record of 3-0.

The Thoroughbreds now possess a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ryle for a non-league contest on Thursday, April 3. Newport Central Catholic will confront a Raiders squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Conner (Hebron, KY). The Raiders record now stands at 4-1.
