Virginia High School Softball - Staunton River nudges Liberty Christian
April 2, 2022: Moneta, VA 24121 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) and the visiting Liberty Christian Bulldogs (Lynchburg, VA), saw Staunton River's softball squad nip Liberty Christian by a count of 6-5.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Franklin County for a Blue Ridge match on Tuesday, April 5.
With the loss, Liberty Christian falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, April 2. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 2-1.
