April 2, 2024: Ashford, AL 36312 Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Ashford Yellowjackets (Ashford, AL), 14-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Rebels now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they host Ariton for a 2A Area 3 challenge on Thursday, April 4. Long will face a Purple Cats squad coming off a 21-0 league win over Abbeville (Abbeville, AL). The Purple Cats record now stands at 13-8.
With the loss, Ashford falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Rehobeth (Dothan, AL) to face the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 9-8. Rehobeth lost 6-2 in their recent non-league game against Enterprise (Enterprise, AL)
