Arizona High School Softball - Vista Grande nudges Coronado
April 2, 2024: Scottsdale, AZ 85257 Vista Grande Spartans (Casa Grande, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Coronado Dons (Scottsdale, AZ), 1-0 in a league challenge.
The Spartans now own a 9-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Apache Junction for a 4A Black Canyon challenge on Friday, April 5. Vista Grande will battle a Prospectors squad coming off a 24-3 league win over Dysart (El Mirage, AZ). The Prospectors record now stands at 7-5.
With the loss, Coronado falls to 0-10 on the campaign. The Dons travel to Tempe (Tempe, AZ) to battle the Buffaloes in a 4A Black Canyon challenge on Thursday, April 4. The Buffaloes enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Tempe won 23-4 in their recent league challenge against Cortez (Phoenix, AZ)
