April 2, 2024: Slidell, LA 70461 Covington Lions (Covington, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Northshore Panthers (Slidell, LA), 6-3 in a league challenge.
The Lions now own a 14-12 record. They take the field next when they host Thomas Jefferson for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4. Covington will battle a squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to South Terrebonne (Bourg, LA). The record now stands at 9-6.
With the loss, Northshore falls to 14-13 on the campaign. The Panthers host Slidell (Slidell, LA) to battle the Tigers in a 5A District 6 challenge on Thursday, April 4. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 22-5. Slidell won 18-1 in their recent league challenge against Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA)
