Van Buren Pointers (Van Buren, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mountain Home Bombers (Mountain Home, AR), 6-3 in a league challenge.

The Pointers now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gentry for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4. Van Buren will battle a Pioneers squad coming off a 16-0 league win over Berryville (Berryville, AR). The Pioneers record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Mountain Home falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Bombers travel to Farmington (Farmington, AR) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 10-3. Farmington won 14-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Paragould (Paragould, AR)
