Louisiana High School Baseball - Iowa loses to Destrehan
April 2, 2025: Destrehan, LA 70047 Destrehan Wildcats (Destrehan, LA) fans left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Iowa Yellowjackets (Iowa, LA), 10-3 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Destrehan advances its record to 17-10 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Terrebonne (Houma, LA) to battle the Tigers in a 5A District 8 match on Saturday, April 5. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 7-22. Terrebonne lost 6-2 in their recent league match against Hahnville (Boutte, LA)
The Yellowjackets now have a 14-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Notre Dame for a non-league match on Saturday, April 5. Iowa will battle a Pioneers squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Welsh (Welsh, LA). The Pioneers record now stands at 16-11.
