Virginia High School Baseball - Isle of Wight Academy edges Peninsula Catholic

In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Isle of Wight Academy Chargers baseball team scored a close 4-1 win over the Peninsula Catholic Knights.

The Chargers (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Brunswick Academy (Lawrenceville, VA). The Vikings go into the non-league game with a 5-4 record. In their last game, Brunswick Academy nudged Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot (Powhatan, VA), 7-6, in a league game.

Next, the Knights play the Norfolk Christian Ambassadors (Norfolk, VA) in a Tidewater Independent game, on Thursday, April 3. Peninsula Catholic will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Ambassadors go into the game with a 5-7 record after their 6-1 league loss to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, VA).
