In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Franklin Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Encina Bulldogs.

The Wildcats (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Cosumnes Oaks (Elk Grove, CA). The Wolfpack come into the challenge with a 14-5 record. In their last challenge, Cosumnes Oaks edged Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove, CA), 2-0, in a league challenge.
