April 2, 2025: Pinetops, NC 27864 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) and the visiting North Johnston Panthers (Kenly, NC), saw SouthWest Edgecombe's baseball team gain a win over North Johnston by a tally of 10-0.
The Cougars (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC). The Bears enter the non-league battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Bear Grass Charter prevailed over Camden County (Camden, NC), 18-9, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Panthers face the Cleveland Rams (Clayton, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 7. North Johnston will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Rams enter the battle with a 4-7 record after their 15-6 league loss to Clayton (Clayton, NC).
