North Carolina High School Softball - East Surry succumbs to Ashe County
April 2, 2025: Pilot Mountain, NC 27041 In Wednesday's non-league test, the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) softball squad overwhelmed the host East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC), by a tally of 18-7.
Next, the Huskies clash with the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) in a test, on Friday, April 4. Ashe County will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record. The Cougars go into the test with a 7-1 record after their 17-4 league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).
The Cardinals (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 10-0 record. In their last test, Forbush prevailed over East Wilkes (Ronda, NC), 17-0, in a non-league test.
