The Central Valley Falcons triumphed over the visiting Mt. Shasta Bears softball squad by a count of 12-7 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Falcons play the West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA) in a Northern challenge, on Friday, April 4. Central Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record.

The Bears (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Weed (Weed, CA). The Cougars enter the Shasta Cascade challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Weed was routed by Biggs (Biggs, CA), 19-2, in a non-league challenge.
