The Marlboro County Bulldogs softball squad (Bennettsville, SC), was edged 5-4 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the visiting Darlington Falcons (Darlington, SC)

With the triumph, Darlington improves its record to 10-5 on the year. The Falcons travel to Crestwood (Sumter, SC) to face the Knights in a AAAA Region 5 contest on Friday, April 4. The Knights enter the contest with a record of 2-9. Crestwood lost 15-0 in their recent non-league contest against Sumter (Sumter, SC)

The Bulldogs now hold a 3-11 record. They play next when they host Loris for a AAA Region 6 contest on Friday, April 4. Marlboro County will face a Lions squad coming off a 6-2 league loss to Dillon (Dillon, SC). The Lions record now stands at 7-6.
