Minerva Lions (Minerva, OH) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting River View Black Bears (Warsaw, OH), 9-8 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Minerva improves its record to 4-6 on the year. The Lions host West Branch (Beloit, OH) to play the Warriors in a Eastern Buckeye game on Tuesday, April 8. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 2-1.

The Black Bears now hold a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Morgan for a Muskingum Valley game on Monday, April 7. River View will play a Raiders squad coming off a 4-2 league loss to Sheridan (Thornville, OH). The Raiders record now stands at 4-2.
