In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Sunnyslope Vikings softball team scored a tight 8-5 triumph over the Tolleson Wolverines.

With the triumph, Sunnyslope upgrades its record to 11-3 on the year. The Vikings travel to Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Thunder in a 6A Central game on Monday, April 6. The Thunder enter the game with a record of 16-3. Desert Vista lost 16-6 in their recent league match against Xavier College Prep (Phoenix, AZ)

In their next game, the Wolverines confront the Apollo Hawks (Glendale, AZ) in a 6A West Valley match, on Tuesday, April 7. Tolleson will attempt to better on its 10-8 season record. The Hawks come into the match with a 2-10 record after their 21-1 non-league loss to Pinnacle (Phoenix, AZ).
