Miss Boyle allowed only 1 baserunner through 3. The Spartans put the ball in play, but a great defense shut them out in the bottom of the first. In the top of the 2nd, catcher Rani Lauwers ripped a shot into the outfield for a base hit. After a steal, battery mate Bryce Boyle brought her home. Boyle kept SC off the scoreboard until the 6th, but her teammates scored 3 for her in the bottom of the third - Max's patience to walk Jenna the first of three consecutive slap hits, a triple by Alicia Nguyen, who scored on Rani's groundout.
