The Carolina International Comets baseball team (Concord, NC), was overwhelmed 16-1 in Monday's league outing with the visiting Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC)

The Patriots now hold a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mountain Island Charter for a non-league outing on Monday, April 17. Piedmont Community Charter will confront a Raptor team coming off a 9-1 league loss to Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC). The Raptor record now stands at 2-10.

Next, the Comets confront the Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) in a Metro Eight 1A outing, on Thursday, April 6. Carolina International will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Cardinals go into the outing with a 7-6 record after their 1-0 league win over Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC).
