North Carolina High School Softball - Alexander Central bounces Mooresville
April 3, 2023: Taylorsville, NC 28681 Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mooresville Blue Devils (Mooresville, NC), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars now sport a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ashe County for a challenge on Thursday, April 6. Alexander Central will face a Huskies squad coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Mooresville falls to 8-2 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC) to face the Ragin' Bulls in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Ragin' Bulls enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Hickory Ridge lost 11-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC)
