North Carolina High School Softball - Alexander Central bounces Mooresville
April 3, 2023: Taylorsville, NC 28681 Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mooresville Blue Devils (Mooresville, NC), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they host Freedom for a Northwestern 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, April 4. Alexander Central will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 4-1 league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 2-9.
With the loss, Mooresville falls to 9-4 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC) to battle the Ragin' Bulls in a Greater Metro 4A challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Ragin' Bulls enter the challenge with a record of 11-1. Hickory Ridge won 13-0 in their recent league challenge against A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC)
