The Hickory Red Tornadoes baseball team (Hickory, NC), was overwhelmed 11-2 in Wednesday's non-league outing with the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC)

The Cougars now hold a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Freedom for a Northwestern 3A/4A outing on Tuesday, April 9.

In their next game, the Red Tornadoes battle the Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC) in a Western Foothills 3A test, on Tuesday, April 9.
