Oregon High School Softball - Sheridan bounces Western Christian
April 3, 2024: Salem, OR 97304 Sheridan Spartans (Sheridan, OR) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Western Christian Pioneers (Salem, OR), 20-5 in a league challenge.
The Spartans now sport a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Yamhill-Carlton for a 3A-SD2 Special District 2 challenge on Friday, April 5. Sheridan will face a Tigers squad coming off a 12-7 non-league loss to Stayton (Stayton, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 4-3.
With the loss, Western Christian falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Blanchet Catholic (Salem, OR) to face the Cavaliers in a 2A/1A-SD2 Special District 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Blanchet Catholic won 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Gervais (Gervais, OR)
