Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Amherst County advances its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Lancers host Heritage (Lynchburg, VA) to clash with the Pioneers in a Seminole test on Friday, April 4. The Pioneers come into the test with a record of 1-3. Heritage lost 10-0 in their recent league test against Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA)

The Governors now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alleghany for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 9.
