North Carolina High School Soccer - Piedmont knocks off Anson
April 3, 2025: Monroe, NC 28110 The Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), 9-0 in Thursday's league challenge.
The Panthers now hold a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe for a Rocky River 2A/3A challenge on Tuesday, April 8. Piedmont will encounter a Redhawks squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 1-9.
With the loss, Anson moves to 3-8 on the year. The Bearcats travel to Central Academy (Monroe, NC) to encounter the Cougars in a Rocky River 2A/3A challenge on Tuesday, April 8. The Cougars go into the challenge with a record of 4-10. Central Academy lost 6-3 in their recent league challenge against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC)
