April 3, 2025: Gloucester City, NJ 08030 Gloucester City Lions (Gloucester City, NJ) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Sterling Silver Knights (Somerdale, NJ), 5-1 in a league game.
With the triumph, Gloucester City improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Lions host Kingsway (Woolwich Township, NJ) to play the Dragons in a non-league game on Saturday, April 5. The Dragons enter the game with a record of 4-0. Kingsway won 7-2 in their recent league game against Clearview (Mullica Hill, NJ)
The Silver Knights now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Audubon for a Colonial - Liberty game on Friday, April 4. Sterling will play a Green Wave squad coming off a 10-3 league win over West Deptford (Westville, NJ). The Green Wave record now stands at 4-0.
