April 4, 2024: Troy, NC 27371 The Montgomery Central Timberwolves baseball team (Troy, NC), was overwhelmed 16-5 in Thursday's non-league outing with the visiting Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC)
The Cougars now hold a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dudley for a Mid-State 3A outing on Tuesday, April 9. Rockingham County will confront a Panthers team coming off a 19-16 league loss to Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 5-6.
Next, the Timberwolves confront the Uwharrie Charter Eagles (Asheboro, NC) in a non-league outing, on Friday, April 5. Montgomery Central will attempt to advance on its 2-10 season record. The Eagles go into the outing with a 8-5 record after their 15-5 non-league win over Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC).
