The Phoenix Christian Cougars topped the visiting BASIS Phoenix Firebirds volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Thursday's league test.

The Cougars now have a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. John Paul II Catholic for a 4A North Central test on Tuesday, April 9. Phoenix Christian will confront a Lions team coming off a 3-0 league win over BASIS Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ). The Lions record now stands at 3-11.

The Firebirds (3-11) will now prepare for their test against American Leadership Academy - West Foothills (Waddell, AZ). The Guardians enter the 4A North Central test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, American Leadership Academy - West Foothills was knocked off by Northwest Christian (Phoenix, AZ), 3-0, in a league test.
