Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL), 19-1 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Marissa/Coulterville for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. Metro-East Lutheran will battle a Meteors squad coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Sparta (Sparta, IL). The Meteors record now stands at 6-5.
