April 4, 2024: Blue Eye, MO 65611 The Blue Eye Bulldogs (Blue Eye, MO) softball nipped the visiting Verona Wildcats (Verona, MO), 10-9 in Thursday's league bout.
The Bulldogs (3-5) will now prepare for their bout against Billings (Billings, MO). The Wildcats go into the Class 1 District 5 bout with a 2-6 record. In their last bout, Billings was edged by Crane (Crane, MO), 12-3, in a league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Marionville for a Class 2 District 5 bout on Friday, April 5. Verona will confront a Comets squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Lockwood (Lockwood, MO). The Comets record now stands at 8-2.
