Louisiana High School Softball - Pope John Paul II bounces Hammond
April 4, 2024: Hammond, LA 70401 The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA) and the host Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA), saw Pope John Paul II's softball squad achieve victory over Hammond by a count of 20-2.
The Jaguars now sport a 14-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mandeville for a non-league match on Friday, April 5.
With the loss, Hammond falls to 3-17 on the campaign. The Tornadoes host Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA) to face the Green Wave in a 5A District 6 match on Monday, April 8. The Green Wave enter the match with a record of 21-7. Ponchatoula won 22-0 in their recent non-league match against De La Salle (New Orleans, LA)
