The Loyd Star Hornets softball team (Brookhaven, MS), was tipped 5-4 in Thursday's league test with the visiting West Lincoln Bears (Brookhaven, MS)

Coming up next, the Bears encounter the Pisgah Dragons (Sandhill, MS) in a non-league test, on Monday, April 8. West Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 12-7 season record. The Dragons come into the test with a 17-3 record after their 11-1 league win over Pelahatchie (Pelahatchie, MS).

The Hornets (12-7) will now prepare for their test against Franklin County (Meadville, MS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Franklin County edged McComb (McComb, MS), 13-0, in a non-league test.
