The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Ballston Spa Scotties (Ballston Spa, NY) and the host Columbia Blue Devils (East Greenbush, NY), saw Ballston Spa's baseball team hold off Columbia by a count of 4-3.

The Scotties now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 7.

With the defeat, Columbia drops to 0-1 on the year. The Blue devils travel to Guilderland (Guilderland Center, NY) to clash with the Flying Dutchmen in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 9. The Flying Dutchmen go into the challenge with a record of 0-1.
