Louisiana High School Baseball - St. John held off by Hammond
April 4, 2025: Plaquemine, LA 70764 Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA), 7-5 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Hammond advances its record to 5-22 on the season. The Tornadoes travel to Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (Kenner, LA) to battle the Swamp Owls in a non-league match on Saturday, April 5. The Swamp Owls come into the match with a record of 12-11. Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy lost 11-2 in their recent league match against St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA)
The Eagles now have a 18-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ascension Catholic for a 1A District 8 match on Tuesday, April 8. St. John will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 12-1 non-league loss to University Lab (Baton Rouge, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 19-9.
