The Merritt Island Christian Cougars baseball team scored 7 runs and held the host Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders to 2 in the Cougars non-league win on Friday.

The Cougars now hold a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oasis Christian for a non-league test on Saturday, April 5. Merritt Island Christian will play a Lions team coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Gulf Coast HEAT (Sarasota, FL). The Lions record now stands at 8-9.

With the defeat, Old Plank Christian Academy drops to 8-11 on the year. The Defenders travel to Duval Charter (Jacksonville, FL) to play the Panthers in a non-league test on Monday, April 7.
