In Friday's league game, the visiting West Marion Trojans baseball team scored a close 3-0 win over the St. Patrick Fighting Irish.

The Trojans (8-13) will now prepare for their game against Sumrall (Sumrall, MS). The Bobcats go into the non-league game with a 14-7 record. In their last game, Sumrall by Forrest County Agricultural (Brooklyn, MS), 15-13, in a league game.

Next, the Fighting Irish play the Resurrection Catholic Eagles (Pascagoula, MS) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 5. St. Patrick will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Eagles go into the game with a 10-7 record after their 8-3 league loss to Enterprise (Brookhaven, MS).
