Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Garfield Bulldogs (Los Angeles, CA) and the host Schurr Spartans (Montebello, CA), observed Garfield's volleyball team top Schurr by a count of 3-0.

With the win, Garfield improves its record to 8-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Bell (Bell, CA) to encounter the Eagles in a Eastern battle on Monday, April 7. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 2-9. Bell lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against Legacy (South Gate, CA)

The Spartans now own a 1-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mark Keppel for a Almont contest on Tuesday, April 8. Schurr will battle a Aztecs team coming off a 3-0 league win over Montebello (Montebello, CA). The Aztecs record now stands at 21-6.
