April 4, 2025: Des Moines, IA 50312 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Dowling Catholic Maroons (West Des Moines, IA) and the host Roosevelt Roughriders (Des Moines, IA), saw Dowling Catholic's soccer squad knock off Roosevelt by a count of 2-0.
The Maroons (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Pius X (Lincoln, NE). The Thunderbolts enter the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Pius X tipped Norris (Firth, NE), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Roughriders battle the Ottumwa Bulldogs (Ottumwa, IA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 11. Roosevelt will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
