The Elk Grove Thundering Herd softball team scored 15 runs and held the host McClatchy Lions to 3 in the Thundering Herd non-league win on Friday.

The Thundering Herd now possess a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Laguna Creek for a battle on Wednesday, April 9. Elk Grove will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 24-6 league loss to Franklin (Elk Grove, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, McClatchy moves to 6-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Grant (Sacramento, CA) to confront the Pacers in a battle on Tuesday, April 8. The Pacers come into the battle with a record of 1-4. Grant lost 20-8 in their recent league battle against Antelope (Antelope, CA)
