New York High School Baseball - Oakton defeats Elmira
April 5, 2023: Elmira, NY 14904 Oakton Cougars (Vienna, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Elmira Express (Elmira, NY), 6-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Oakton upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC) to battle the Volunteers in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 5. The Volunteers come into the test with a record of 14-1. Andrew Jackson won 11-1 in their recent non-league test against East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY)
With the defeat, Elmira falls to 3-1 on the season. The Express travel to Hamburg (Hamburg, NY) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Thursday, April 6. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 1-0. Hamburg won 3-2 in their recent non-league battle against Canisius (Buffalo, NY)
