Virginia High School Soccer - James River knocks off Galax
April 5, 2023: Buchanan, VA 24066 James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Knights confront the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 14. James River will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Governors enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Amherst County (Amherst, VA).
The Maroon Tide now possess a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Abingdon for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 12. Galax will confront a Falcons team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Galax (Galax, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 1-1.
