In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) softball team overwhelmed the host Olympic Trojans (Charlotte, NC), by a margin of 23-2.

With the triumph, Mallard Creek moves its record to 10-1 on the year. The Mavericks host North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC) to play the Vikings in a Queen City 3A/4A contest on Thursday, April 6.
