Mitchell Bluejackets (Mitchell, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Bloomfield Cardinals (Bloomfield, IN), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Mitchell upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Bluejackets host Springs Valley (French Lick, IN) to battle the Blackhawks in a Patoka Lake test on Saturday, April 6. The Blackhawks come into the test with a record of 0-1. Springs Valley 2-2 in their recent non-league test against Eastern (Pekin, IN)

With the defeat, Bloomfield falls to 0-1 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Shoals (Shoals, IN) to battle the Jug Rox in a non-league test on Saturday, April 6. The Jug Rox come into the test with a record of 0-1. Shoals lost 15-2 in their recent non-league test against Mitchell (Mitchell, IN)
