In Friday's league game, the visiting Vela Sabercats baseball team scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders.

The Sabercats (11-10) will now prepare for their game against McAllen (McAllen, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 5A Region IV District 31 game with a 13-9 record. In their last game, McAllen tipped Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial (Alamo, TX), 2-1, in a league game.
