Tennessee High School Soccer - Portland knocks off Macon County
April 5, 2024: Portland, TN 37148 Portland Panthers (Portland, TN) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Macon County Tigers (Lafayette, TN), 6-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Panthers confront the Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks (Hendersonville, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 8. Portland will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Hawks enter the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Station Camp (Gallatin, TN).
The Tigers now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Watertown for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Macon County will confront a Purple Tigers team coming off a 3-3 non-league Jackson County (Gainesboro, TN). The Purple Tigers record now stands at 2-2.
