Mississippi High School Softball - Shannon loses to Belmont
April 5, 2024: Shannon, MS 38868 The Belmont Cardinals softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Shannon Red Raiders to 0 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Belmont moves its record to 9-13 on the year. The Cardinals host Alcorn Central (Glen, MS) to clash with the Bears in a 3A Region 1 game on Saturday, April 6. The Bears come into the game with a record of 4-18. Alcorn Central lost 14-4 in their recent league game against Mantachie (Mantachie, MS)
In their next game, the Red Raiders clash with the Ripley Tigers (Ripley, MS) in a 4A Region 1 game, on Saturday, April 6. Shannon will attempt to move on its 0-18 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 12-12 record after their 14-0 league loss to Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS).
